To an extent. There are still the white people who discriminate against the darker-pigment peoples while treating the lighter ones with slight acceptance.

^^ And you’ll hear a lot from white people “You don’t look ‘Black’..” (When addressing certain light skinned PoC, because we’re all supposed to be as dark as Wesley Snipes by their small minded standards)
